You can apply for a university through four ways:

 

　　1．Visit China Scholarship Council's website to apply, if you apply for Chinese Government 

Scholarship

　　If you apply for Chinese Government Scholarship, you can either apply a university by visiting 

China Scholarship Council's Application Online Page, or apply to a university you choose directly.

　　2．Visit the admission page of the university you choose, and apply directly

　　You can locate a university through: 

　　(1) Browse a list of Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) universities (279);

　　(2) Use search function on the Homepage of this website or other search engine to locate a 

university beyond CGS universities, then find its admission page or relevant information;

　　(3) Try the websites of other intermediaries.

　　3．Use Siyidi-Assisted Application Service (SAA-Service)

　　Siyidi (Beijing) International Education Consulting and Service Co. Ltd. offers application service 

through this website. SAA-Service includes:

　　(1) Recommend 3 universities for a client to choose from, according to his/her expressed wishes;

　　(2) Supply relevant scholarship information for the client;

　　(3) Provide the client with consultative information during application process, in aspects of 

document preparation, visa application, communication with relevant universities, etc.;

　　(4) Provide other relevant information;

　　(5) For application for Siyidi's co-operative universities, the registration fee might be waived by the 

university, while Siyidi may receive certain commission fee from the universities.

　　The charge for these services is US$100.00 (one hundred US dollars).

　　4．Use another intermediary's application service to apply

　　You can visit the introduction pages of other intermediaries on this website, and access their 

services via the links on the pages.

General Procedures:

　　1．Compare and identify the ideal college(s) 

　　2．Ask for and examine prospectus, decide which course to study

　　3．Locate and apply for scholarship if qualified (through different channels)

　　4．Submit application, then wait for Admission Letter and JW201/2 Form

　　5．Apply for a X Type Visa to the Chinese embassy or a consulate-general (relevant documents and 

　　　 Foreigner Physical Examination Form needed)

　　6．Make travel arrangement, notify relevant parties if help needed upon arrival 

　　7．Get enrolled by the deadline of registration, pay tuition fee

　　8．Go through formalities at the college and get settled

　　9．Apply for a resident permit for foreigners to local policy authority
